综采放顶煤开采是井工开采厚煤层的一种回采方法。在开采过程中,沿缓倾斜厚煤层的底板或急倾斜特厚煤层某一阶段的底部布置一个综采工作面,采煤机落煤装入前部输送机上,而上部煤体则在矿山压力和自重作用下在工作面后方垮落,并通过液压支架放煤口放到后部(或前部)输送机上,这种采煤方法叫作综采放顶煤开采,简称“综放”。见图1。
