工农业协调发展是苏南农村经济现代化启动时期的重要特色,也是对有中国特色的社会主义现代化道路的可贵探索。本项研究报告通过大量翔实的资料对80年代以来苏南地区工农产业间协调发展的历程和互动特征进行了系统实证分析,揭示了苏南工农业协调发展的成功经验和对其它地区发展的启迪意义;然后,从经济社会学的角度对苏南工农业协调发展中的利益协调、要素协调、结构协调、进度协调等标志进行了理论概括,并进一步论述了促成工农业协调发展的四种作用机制及其社会效应;最后,作者根据90年代苏南新发展阶段中的新情况、新问题,对工农产业间若干不够协调乃至于失调的现象作出了分析,进而提出了在深化改革和发展社会主义市场经济过程中实现苏南工农业进一步协调发展的战略构想。
