Resistance is considered to be a major cause of the lack of long-term efficacy of chemotherapeutic drugs. Cyclosporin A inhibits the action of P-glycoprotein, a protein product associated with multidrug resistance gene I (MDRI). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that cyclosporin A enhances the cytotoxicity of cisplatin and doxorubicin. Kashani-Sabat et al found that cyclosporin A reversed the expression of tumor genes on cisplatin-resistant cells. 1994 Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) in combination with cisplatin and cyclosporine A has developed maximum tolerated dose (MTD) after phase I study. GOG has currently used both drugs for measurable disease
