[Object] To analyze and determine the types and contents of amino acids and mineral elements in Rhizoma Dioscorea cirrhosae,so as to provide theoretical evidence for the development and utilization of Rhizoma Dioscorea cirrhosae.[Method] Contents of amino acids and mineral elements were determined by HPLC and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry respectively.[Result] 16 amino acids were obtained and the essential amino acids made up 37.98%,of which aspartic acid,glutamic acid,leucine ranked the first,second and third respectively,while the content of methionine was lowest;Rhizoma Dioscorea cirrhosae was rich in K,Ca,Na,P and Mg etc.five major elements as well as B,Mn,Mo,Co,Ni,Cr,Cu,Se,Fe,Sr,Zn,Ba,Cd and Li etc.fourteen trace elements.[Conclusion] There are multiple nutrients and active ingredients in Rhizoma Dioscorea cirrhosae,and this case would provide theoretical evidence for the further development and utilization of Rhizoma Dioscorea cirrhosae.
