在中法战争中,“撤基援沪”战略发挥了极大的作用。刘铭传率众执行此极具风险的决策,受到了朝廷的不解和时人的攻讦,但事实却证明间接导致了接下来的“沪尾大捷”。而在“撤基援沪”的背后,其实提出此战略的另有其人,即刘铭传的“左膀右臂”李彤恩。回顾“撤基援沪”的出笼始末和李彤恩对“撤基援沪”战略所做出的贡献,还可进一步探讨了李彤恩跌宕起伏的命运生涯。
In the Sino-French war, the strategy of “withdrawing aid to Shanghai” has played a significant role. Liu Ming-chuan led the public to carry out this highly risky decision by the court and people’s misunderstanding, but the facts have proved that the indirect result of the ensuing “Shanghai Expressway.” Behind the “withdrawal aid to Shanghai”, in fact, there is another person who proposed this strategy, namely Liu Ming-chuan’s “Left-wing Right Arm” Li Tong-en.
