Objective: To understand the density of Apodemus agrarius in different habitats and the age composition of winter rats. Methods: In the quadrats, step-by-step method was used to find the rat holes and dig the holes to catch the rats. The haystacks were moved and exhausted. The burrows were calculated by counting the number of holes. The rats were divided by weight method. Results: From November 1984 to March 1985, a total of 88.8 hm2 of farmland were investigated and 76 Apodemus agrarius were collected, with an average density of 0.86 / hm2. Among them, 7.2 hm2 was captured in the field and 70 were captured, with a density of 9.72 / hm2. In the field, 81.6 hm2 was captured and only 6 were captured, with a density of 0.07 / hm2. A total of 42 haystacks were collected with a density of 19.0 9 / hm2. 17 hay bales were rebuilt, covering an area of 0.10 2 hm2, and 32 were captured with a density of 313.7 hams / hm2. 85 hm2 farmlands were surveyed and 30 8 were captured with a density of 3.6 2 / hm2. A survey of 7.04hm2 cross-strait irrigation canals of 180 ditches and a density of 2 5.57 / hm2 was conducted. Twenty-three haystacks were relocated and the land area was 0.138hm2. 96 were captured with a density of 6 95.7 per hectare. The study of 16 2 littoral 52 Apodemus, Apodemus and adult Ⅰ-phase individuals accounted for 62.91% of the total number of winter rats. CONCLUSION: The winter habitat of the rats mainly inhabit the Tian 埂, Tanbian, both sides of the ditch embankment and Tanabe haystacks, and the winter, mainly in the sub-adult and adult Ⅰ individuals.
