High availability (High availability) system, refers to a particular host on a particular job due to abnormal host device can not continue to operate, in the shortest possible time on other normal host restart the job. Many of today’s systems are mission-critical systems that require ongoing service to their customers, resulting in incalculable economic and reputational losses even in the case of short-term business disruptions. The reliability of a computer system is measured in terms of mean time between failure (MTTF), ie, how long a computer system can operate normally on average before it fails. The higher the reliability of the system, the longer MTBF. Maintainability is measured in terms of mean time to repair (MTTR), which is the average time it takes for a system to be repaired and resumed normal operation after a failure. The better the maintainability of the system, the shorter the average repair time. The availability of a computer system is defined as: MTTF / (MTTF + MTTR) ~ * 100%. Thus, the availability of the computer system is defined as the system to maintain normal operation
