赖氨酰氧化酶(lysyl oxidase,LOX)是细胞外基质(extracellular matrix,ECM)中催化胶原与弹性蛋白聚合的关键酶,从而调节组织的强度。最新的研究发现LOX还具有一些新的功能,包括调节细胞黏附、运动及基因的转录等。LOX这些多样化且复杂的功能影响着细胞的功能调节。值得注意的是,LOX在不同的肿瘤组织及肿瘤细胞株中的表达有着显著的差异,LOX在不同的肿瘤中可能发挥着不同的作用,其既是肿瘤抑制因子,也可能起着促进肿瘤转移的作用。文献提示LOX在肿瘤的进展中扮演着十分重要的角色。因此,进一步研究及阐明LOX的作用机制对揭示肿瘤的生物学特性、提高肿瘤的治疗效果可能具有一定的帮助。
Lysyl oxidase (LOX) is a key enzyme that catalyzes the polymerization of collagen and elastin in the extracellular matrix (ECM) to regulate the strength of the tissue. The latest research found that LOX also has some new features, including regulation of cell adhesion, movement and gene transcription. LOX These diverse and complex functions affect the functional regulation of cells. It is noteworthy that, LOX expression in different tumor tissues and tumor cell lines have significant differences, LOX may play different roles in different tumors, both tumor suppressor, may also play a role in promoting tumor metastasis effect. The literature suggests that LOX plays a very important role in tumor progression. Therefore, to further study and elucidate the mechanism of action of LOX may be helpful to reveal the biological characteristics of tumor and improve the therapeutic effect of tumor.
