《会见我的亲人》(Meet My Folks!)是英国诗人泰德·休斯(Ted Hughes,1930— )于1961年出版的一本诗集。全书除序诗外,共有13首诗,每首介绍一个亲人,如《我的姐姐》、《我的仙女教母》、《我的爷爷》等等。这些诗有点像打油诗,也像为儿童写的谐谑诗,但也多少透露了诗人对人世间一些愚蠢行为的善意讽喻。如《我的姑妈》写一老太太悉心伺弄一棵植物,结果这棵吞吃活物的蓟草最后竟把姑妈也吞噬了。又如《我的叔叔但恩》,写这位空想家整天闷坐着幻想发明,但那都是些全然无用的东西,如:没有玻璃(因此永远不会破裂)的窗子、能治疗地震的药物、用螺丝钉固定茶水绝对不会泼溅的杯子……插画家乔治·亚当森(George Adamson),当代英国画家,生年不详。他在本书插图中多次运用动物的形象,这也是和休斯一贯喜爱在诗歌中描绘动物或借动物讽喻人类分不开的。 Meet My Folks!
