你分得清幻想、梦想和现实吗？影片《心在彼处（Wish I Was Here）》由Zach Braff自编自导自演，讲述了主人公Aidan将三者区分开来的过程。Aidan是一个籍籍无名的演员，在很长时间没有得到演出机会的时候，他突然得到了父亲病危的消息，一时间他面临种种困境：孩子们即将辍学、弟弟在虚度人生、妻子被同事性骚扰……这一连串的打击不断冲击着他本已满是裂痕的演员梦，他开始怀疑自己的梦想究竟是不是幻想，他试图解决以前不敢面对的问题：在中年危机中寻找自我，帮助青春期的女儿树立自信，让年幼的儿子保持天性，使迷茫时期的弟弟回到父亲的身边，最后还教训了骚扰妻子的同事并鼓励妻子追求她的梦想，而他最终也得到了演员教师的工作。
Aidan已经很久没有得到演出的机会，在这段时间里，一直靠妻子养家糊口。由于之前的约定，他两个孩子的学费由父亲Gabe支付。但妻子Sarah告诉他，Gabe已经几个月没有交学费了。
Gabe： Pool looks good. What are you growing， 1）typhoid or 2）hepatitis？ What’s going on with the fence？ Got a nice little slice of Mumbai back here， Aidan.
Aidan： The yard has been this way since we
moved in. Are you gonna comment on it every time you see it？ I haven’t gotten a decent check since I did that 3）dandruff commercial.
Gabe： And ironically， you still have dandruff.
Aidan： What is going on with the tuition checks， Dad？ We， we had a deal. You said you’d cover it as long as you got to pick the school. And you did. You have your 4）indoctrinated， little religious grandchildren. You cannot make me hound you for these checks.
Gabe： The cancer’s back， Aidan. I didn’t want to worry you till I knew for sure.
Aidan： But now you do.
Gabe： Now I do. And it’s pretty bad.
Aidan： How bad is “pretty bad”？
Gabe： It’s 5）metastasized from my lungs， spreading.
Aidan： Oh my God.

Aidan： My father has cancer， my children have to drop out of school， and I don’t have a job. How could I possibly be winning？
Gabe： God works in mysterious ways.
Aidan： This is particularly mysterious.
Gabe： Oh， one more thing. I’m gonna be laid up for a while. I’m gonna need you to watch Kugel. Aidan： Oh！ There’s so much bad news all at once. What do we do？
Gabe： What do you mean， “What do we do？” We move forward. It’s the only direction God gave us.

And I was watching you and you kept trying to get up， trying to get up， and then you finally got up. And I couldn’t see your face ’cause you were kinda far out. I could just feel it， this 7）elation， this pure joy.
Sarah： The happiest you’ve ever seen me is a smile you never saw？

Sarah： It wasn’t even a real show. You were just， like， in the middle of a soccer field.
Aidan： It was a traveling production.
Sarah： And it was really thrilling to watch. Because you loved words. You loved poetry. But I do remember it kinda made me feel sad.
Aidan： Why？
Sarah： Honey， I wanna support you. I really， I really do believe in you.
Aidan： Why did seeing me love Shakespeare make you sad？
Sarah： I don’t know. I…I was terrified that I’d never ever find that kind of passion in my life. And the truth is， I haven’t. I input data into a spreadsheet. Literally， a scanner should be doing my job， and there’s just too much bureaucracy for anyone to even notice. Aidan： One day you’re gonna be running that place. Sarah： I don’t want to run the water department.

Aidan： I just…I thought you supported my dream. You said you supported my dream.
Sarah： When did this relationship become solely about supporting your dream？

behind our house and pretend it was this mystical planet and
we were the only ones who could save everybody. But I’ve
been thinking about that a lot lately. Remembering those
fantasies for the first time in， like…14 years.
Rabbi： What do you think it means？
Aidan： I don’t know. And I’m even embarrassed to say
this out loud， but if I can’t say it to you， I can’t say it to anybody. Do you think God is trying to tell me something？ Trying to guide me in some way？ And if you say “He works in mysterious ways”， I will run out that door.

Rabbi： God can be whatever you want him to be. You’re getting tangled in 9）semantics. Try not to get caught up in the God who wants you to be kosher， and the God who wants you to study the Torah. Start with God as the infinite universe， and imagine that that force may be trying desperately to guide you through the most challenging part of your life. Gabe： Really？
Sarah： Yeah.
Gabe： I mean， I’m glad if I was. I don’t even remember what I said.
Sarah： You said， “Nothing in life will call upon us to be more courageous than facing the fact that it ends. But on the other side of heartbreak is wisdom.”
Gabe： I said that？
Sarah： Yeah.
Gabe： That was good advice. And now here I am， a 12）shiva waiting to happen.
Sarah： Well， the wisdom that came out for me was that the things left unsaid stay with us forever. I wish nothing more than if I could tell my sister

Gabe： She made everyone around her happy. She just brought out the best in me.
Sarah： I think if she were here right now she’d tell you that your boys will remember this time for the rest of their lives. It will shape who they are as men.

Rabbi： What do you think it means？
Aidan： I don’t know. And I’m even embarrassed to say
this out loud， but if I can’t say it to you， I can’t say it to anybody. Do you think God is trying to tell me something？ Trying to guide me in some way？ And if you say “He works in mysterious ways”， I will run out that door.

Rabbi： God can be whatever you want him to be. You’re getting tangled in 9）semantics. Try not to get caught up in the God who wants you to be kosher， and the God who wants you to study the Torah. Start with God as the infinite universe， and imagine that that force may be trying desperately to guide you through the most challenging part of your life.
