民国宜春乡村师范学校创办的麟桥实验区,在3年多的时间中,进行了农村自治、教育、生计、自卫等一整套乡村改进工作,对于当地农村社会的进步和农民生活的改善无疑有着积极作用。麟桥实验区的乡村实验,是近代宜春第一次农村现代化的系统尝试,也是对当时弥漫全国和江西全省农村现代化浪潮的一个回应,对于当前的新农村建设乃至农村现代化的继续进行都有现实借鉴意义。
