From 1924 to 1932, a large number of foreign war films represented by Hollywood war films appeared on the Shanghai screen while boarding the era where the war clouds began. The migration and arrival of cross-border and cultural gaps not only fill the imagination of the Chinese people over the war but also make themselves the targets of people’s watching and speaking. When the film arrived in Shanghai and entered the field of vision of the people, it was also placed in the discourse system of the nation-state at that time. When both arrived, the gap between the time and space in the East and the West and the context of the times changed over time, and after twists and turns in the changing times. The film’s own war attitude, national consciousness and the fate of the era war have made it an important text that reflects the concept of war and national consciousness of the Chinese people.
