In 1997, China’s power industry management system began a historic transition from a planned economy to a socialist market economy. Shandong Power audited the situation and aimed at world-class standards. It made a major decision to implement a group development strategy and accelerate the two fundamental changes. The goal is to build Shandong Electric Power Company into a modern enterprise group that is led by the development of electric power, diversified in the fields of operations, cross-regional, cross-industry, cross-border, and comprehensive development. The Shandong Electric Power Company has been established as a modern enterprise group with the development of electric power as the leading factor, diversified operation fields, cross-regional, cross-industry and cross-border development.
