一、引言现代社会对图书馆的整体理解,基于以下三方面的认识:①存储附着于载体的知识或信息;②整序;③对读者需求作出反应。其中读者需求是图书馆业务工作开展的动因。图书馆不仅需要用所存储的知识(信息)满足读者的需要,而且要根据需求调整存储的方向和结构。即服务性是图书馆存在的根本,而社会教育性则通过服务体现。在信息日趋繁芜、知识不断更新深化的今天,新技术的应用使信息处理与存储的方式发生了巨大的变化。图书馆仍然按照上述认识指导工作,往往会陷入困境:一方面工作量不断增加,而对读者需求的满足程度却相对下降;另一方面,在担负对社会知识(信息)的收集、
I. INTRODUCTION The modern society’s overall understanding of the library is based on the following three aspects: (1) storing the knowledge or information attached to the carrier; (2) ordering; and (3) responding to the readers’ needs. Among them, the reader’s demand is the motivation of the library business. The library not only needs to use the stored knowledge (information) to meet the reader’s needs, but also adjusts the direction and structure of storage according to the needs. That service is the fundamental existence of the library, and social education is reflected through the service. With the information becoming more and more numerous and the knowledge continuously updated and deepened, the application of new technology has changed the way of information processing and storage greatly. Library still follows the above-mentioned cognition and guidance work, often will fall into the dilemma: On the one hand, the workload is increasing, while the satisfaction of the reader’s needs is relatively decreased; on the other hand, in charge of social knowledge (information) collection,
