The author thinks that one of the important reasons why Chinese academics did not produce the masters of thought in the 20th century is that “the plagiarism of thoughts”. Chinese scholars have lost the confidence they deserved in the developed western society. Only the first Western academic is the first to look forward to copying Western ideas in disguise. Second is due to the negation of traditional cultural nihilism. The third reason is that people mistakenly think that China's economy is underdeveloped, so they do not have the conditions for creating ideas. This paper argues that there is no causal relationship between economic development and academic development. Ideological creation requires profound cultural accumulation and heritage. China is in possession of this condition. The key issue is to eliminate the cult of a culture, establish self-confidence, and create a creative thinking atmosphere. --editor
