1991年初,伊分局甘河工务段新进一批85型发电、走行两用轻型轨道车。这种车的轴端设有开口销子、在不落轮情况下对轴径探伤时,开口销子孔在探伤仪上显示一种波形,这种波形很难与车轴伤波区别开来。为了排除这种干扰,探伤时不得不落轮,因此,每探测一台车少则3个人1天,多则3人2天才能完成。不仅劳动强度大、检修作业时间长影响使用,同时由于大拆大卸难免造成车辆本身某种程度的损伤、既劳民伤财又缩短了使用寿命。
