黄永玉,原籍湖南省凤凰县,1924年出生于常德县,土家族人,受过小学和不完整初级中学教育。少年时期就以出色的木刻作品蜚声画坛,被誉为“中国三神童之一”。十六岁开始以绘画及木刻谋生。曾任瓷场小工、小学教员、中学教员、家众教育馆员、剧团见习美术队员、报社编辑、电影编剧及中央美术学院教授、中国美术家协会副主席。 Huang Yongyu, originally from Fenghuang County, Hunan Province, was born in 1924 in Changde County and Tujia Nationality. He received primary and secondary education in primary schools. As a boyhood excellent woodcut works famous painting, known as “one of China’s three prodigy ”. At the age of 16, he began to make a living by painting and woodcut. Former porcelain field laborer, primary school teachers, secondary school teachers, home education librarian, troupe trainee art team, newspaper editor, screenwriter and professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, vice chairman of Chinese Artists Association.
