Discusses the great significance of Beijing Olympic Games to give birth to China’s first high-speed railway. The advantages of rail transit and the key technologies of high-speed railway are introduced. The completion of Beijing-Tianjin high-speed railway marks the era of high-speed railway in China has arrived. The construction of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway in the next five years will be a tough battle to occupy the high-speed railway in the world. In the next 10-15 years, we will build a high-speed railway network with a total length of 18,000 km.
