晚清以降,摄影作为一种新媒介由西方传入中国,伴随着社会文化政治的剧烈变迁,国人对摄影媒介的认知也出现了变化。研究发现,传统绘画的审美意志首先接纳了摄影,国人普遍在绘画框架中理解摄影媒介。伴随着印刷业的兴起,摄影广泛嵌入大众社会生活,期间有关真实性的阐发普遍形塑了摄影另一媒介特征。清末民初国人对摄影媒介认知的变化,呈现了中国视觉现代性形成的历史过程,表现出一种面向真实性、疏离表现力的文化倾向,正是这一倾向孕育了新的摄影媒介文化。
In the late Qing dynasty, photography was introduced as a new medium from the West into China. With the dramatic changes in social culture and politics, people’s perception of the photographic media also changed. The study found that the aesthetic will of traditional painting first accepted the photography, people generally understand the photography medium in the framework of painting. With the rise of the printing industry, photography is widely embedded in mass social life. During this period, the interpretation of authenticity has generally shaped another media characteristic of photography. In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, the changes of people’s understanding of photographic media presented the historical process of the formation of Chinese visual modernity and showed a cultural tendency of authenticity and alienation of expressive force. It is precisely this tendency that gave birth to a new photographic media culture .
