除草剂必须经植物体吸收后才能发挥其作用。对各种除草剂在植物上的吸收和传导特性的了解有助于掌握合宜的使用技术,达到经济有效的用药目的。根、茎、芽和叶都是除草剂被吸收的部位。用于土壤处理的除草剂可从萌发种子的胚根和胚芽以及伸长出的上胚轴或下胚轴进入如丙草丹,杀草丹等。已经老化而为木栓质所覆被的根、茎上除草剂就难以进入。不同除草剂对不同植物和不同的生育阶段的活性大小除受生理生化作用影响外,植物吸收药量的多少起到相当重要的作用。
