Objective To explore the bacteria specificity of bifidobacteria on the health of middle-aged and elderly people. Methods A total of 148 healthy middle-aged and elderly people aged 50-75 in Chengdu were enrolled in the study. Blood and stool samples were collected, blood biochemical and immunological indexes were measured, 16S rRNA gene sequences of bacteria were used to design specific primers for Bifidobacterium and species. Real-time fluorescence Quantitative PCR qualitative and quantitative analysis of eight strains of Bifidobacterium and their human body most commonly found in the stools of the elderly in the test. Results Bifidobacteria were detected in the feces of middle-aged and elderly people. The number of bacteria was about 108 per gram of wet stool and the detection rate was 100%. The prevalence of bifidobacteria in the intestine of infants and young children could be detected. Bacillus species. Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between Bifidobacterium and urea nitrogen (r = 0.214, P <0.05), Bifidobacterium adolescentis was negatively correlated with body mass index (r = -0.311, P <0.05) (R = 0.167, P <0.05). High density lipoprotein cholesterol was negatively correlated with Bifidobacterium breve (r = -0.247, P <0.05), and positively correlated with Bifidobacterium infantis (r = P <0.05). Bifidobacterium bifidum was positively correlated with immunoglobulin IgA (r = 0.365, P <0.05). Conclusions Bifidobacteria can specifically affect the physiological metabolism and immune function of the body. Maintaining the normal composition of the intestinal Bifidobacterium species may be an effective way to reduce the immune decline caused by the elderly and maintain the health of the elderly. one.
