1:5万区域地质调查是综合性很强的基础地质工作,对地质找矿具有重要的指导意义。实践证明,它不仅可以提高基础地质研究程度,而且还可能直接发现新的矿产。 我们在甘肃北山中南部选择了红山(K—47—98—B)幅,借助遥感技术并利用其他资料开展了1:5万区域地质调查和矿产普查工作。由于充分利用自然重砂、化探成果资料,发挥大比例尺自然彩色航空象片(以下简称为彩色航片)特有的优势,结合常规区调工作方法,因此在短时间内,不仅完成了1:5万区调填图任务,而且新发现和评价了有进一步工作价值的金场沟金银矿、红山井南钨钼银矿和音凹峡北菱镁矿等三个矿产地,取得了明显的社会效益和经济效益。
