我是一個平凡的教育工作者,從事中學教育工作四十多年,這次當選爲全國人民代表大會的代表,使我感到無比的光榮。我深深體會到,如果不是共産党和毛主席的英明領導,如果不是人民真正當家作主,一個平凡的教師被選到國家最高權力機關來工作是不可想像的事情。我衷心地感激党和毛主席給我和全體教育工作者帶來了無限的光明和幸福! 解放以前,我一直在被侮辱、摧殘、迫害的環境下工作了三十八年。那時候,不但沒有辦學的自由,而且連言論、行動和人身都不得自由,尤其是像我這樣辦女子教育的女教師,更感到不自由的痛苦。
I am an ordinary educator and have engaged in secondary education for more than 40 years. This election as the representative of the National People’s Congress has made me feel extremely honored. I have come to realize that it would be unthinkable if an ordinary teacher was elected to the highest authority in the country for work if it were not the wise leadership of the Communist Party and Chairman Mao. I sincerely appreciate that the party and Chairman Mao have brought infinite brightness and happiness to me and to all educators. Before the liberation, I had been working in an environment insulted, raped and persecuted for thirty-eight years. At that time, not only there was no freedom to run schools, but no freedom of speech, action and personal freedom. In particular, women teachers like myself, who were educating women, felt even more uncomfortable suffering.
