山东省莱州市瓜菜研究所选育出一代杂交大白菜新品种——金早40。 该品种为极早熟品种,生育期为40～43天,叶色淡黄绿,白帮,球叶叠抱,叶球呈矮桩,卵圆型,心叶乳黄色,净菜率高,品质极佳。高抗软腐病,霜霉病和病毒病,耐热性强,并耐阴雨,不易串苔,适应性广,上市早,商品属性好。单株重约2～2.5公斤,亩产量在6400～8000公斤左右,其栽培密度一般每亩3800～4000株为宜,除注意早追肥外
