As two important phenomenon of literary trends in contemporary Chinese literature, scar literature and introspective literature are closely linked in time and in content. Liu Xinwu’s “Class Teacher”, published in “The People’s Literature”, No. 11 of 1977, as a source of scum marks and scars and wounds, laid the foundation of his tenet aimed at exposing and prosecuting. Another article that has been watched and remembered with this trend of thought is Lu Xinhua’s “Scar”, which was published in Wen Wei Po in August 1978. Coupled with Xu Huayu, a Chinese-American scholar in the United States, “Hurts Generations” mentioned in the speech at the Chinese Literature Conference at the San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California, said that “Scar Literature” was named.
