Armenia is the kingdom of apricot trees and enjoys world-renowned quality and high output. In 1998, with the arrangement of the Chinese ambassador to Armenia and the Chinese State Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs, the fruit tree research institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences started a collaborative study with Armenia on the apricot tree.
