服务是各级各类图书馆共同的、普遍的社会使命,是图书馆工作的出发点和根本目的。日本的公共图书馆学术性与服务性兼而有之,有一种以人为本的道德精神展现,让读者享受在此读书的快乐。图书馆则不能将“以人为本”的服务停留于书面文件或口头宣传;应给读者以尊重和理解,当注重服务的效果,其人性化服务的同时也是在履行自己的社会教育职能;图书馆工作人员的积极主动性服务,让读者真切有一种“享受读者”的幸福感。
Service is a common and universal social mission for all kinds of libraries at all levels. It is the starting point and the fundamental purpose of library work.
