The investigation and analysis of the microbial ecology and physical and chemical factors in water bodies and underground water pipelines of a certain hydropower station reservoir in Fujian province shows that the main reason causing the blockage of water pipelines in hydropower stations in reservoirs may be due to the growth and propagation of iron bacteria. The iron bacteria in this reservoir are mainly sheath bacteria. Water temperature and total iron content have a significant impact on the growth and decline of the number of sheath bacteria. The optimal growth conditions of sheath bacteria in this reservoir were T21 ~ 25 ℃, pH6.16 ~ 6.87, Fe> 0.43mg / L. The bacteria can survive in the depth of 0.5 ~ 40m. The natural climate affects the physical and chemical factors of three water bodies, T, total iron and suspended matter, while the pH, DO and COD are affected by microbial life activities. Summer peak of sheath bacteria propagation. It is suggested that the smoothing of the underground water pipelines of the power station should be arranged after September
