企业上网,简单地说就是利用先进的信息技术把企业的产、供、销等各个方面同日新月异的互联网连接在一起,使企业的各种经济活动都围绕着互联网来进行。企业则可借着互联网四通八达、无所不在、实现与客户最近、最快交流的优势,在最大范围内选择以最低廉的价格购进原料,或把自己的产品卖给出价最高的买家,从而最大限度地降低成本,提高利润。 在’1999政府上网年的带动下,2000年初江苏省启动了“企业上网工程”,计划至2000年底将上网企业由1万家增至10万家,至2003年实现50万家企业上网,占该省企业总数的90％以上。与此同时,全国各省、市企业也纷纷开始了向国际互联网的大进军,
