北祁连是我国著名的祁连山系的主要组成部分之一。它以独特的地质构造特征和地貌景观,展现在青藏高原的东北部,对它的形成和发展受到中、外地质学者的重视和关注。近百年来,发表了许多论著,归纳起来,主要有三个学派:黄汲清以多旋迴构造观点,将北祁连划为加里东优地槽褶皱带,并视为一个典型的多旋迴褶皱区;李四光以地质力学理论,将区内北西西向构造划为祁吕贺山字型构造的西翼;李春昱以板块观点,将本区划为祁连板块,肖序常等人认为是“深海沟型地槽”。这些观点代表着当前区内地质构造的研究现状。
North Qilian is one of the major components of the Qilian Mountains in China. With its unique geotectonic features and landscapes, it is displayed in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its formation and development are of great concern and concern to both Chinese and foreign geologists. In the past hundred years, many works have been published. In sum, there are mainly three schools of thought: Huang Jiqing constructed the viewpoints of multiple cycles and designated the North Qilian as the Caledonian Trough Fold Belt, and regarded it as a typical multi-cycle Fold zone; Li Siguang uses the theory of geomechanics to classify the NW-West structure in the area as the western wing of the Qilu He Mountain font structure; Li Chunyu regards this area as the Qilian plate in the view of plate and Xiao Xuchang et al. As “deep trench type groove”. These views represent the current research on the geological structure in the area.
