香港地区尽管迄今仍未建立其他社会保险制度,但对于劳工的权益保障却是相当重视的,自1984到1993年间,香港政府共制定了119项劳工法例,1997年更是制定和修订了多项劳工法例,其中雇员补偿条例是50年代制定并经过多次修订的最重要的劳工法律之一,以该法律为主要依据,形成了有香港特色的工伤保障制度即雇主责任制,并构成香港整个社会保障体系的重要内容。
Although no other social insurance system has been set up in Hong Kong so far, the protection of the rights and interests of workers has received considerable attention. From 1984 to 1993, the Hong Kong Government enacted a total of 119 labor legislation and in 1997, it formulated and amended a number of Labor legislation, of which the Employees’ Compensation Ordinance is one of the most important labor laws enacted and amended many times in the 1950s. Based on this law, it forms the Hong Kong-based occupational injury protection system that is the employer responsibility system and constitutes the entire Hong Kong The important content of social security system.
