目前市面上常见的SCSI规范相当的多,从SCSI 2一直到Ultra 160都有,不过为了配合各项串接的外设,通常可以针对某一项外设来作速度上的调整。而所有的外部设备,似乎只有硬盘的速度较其他设备来得快一些而已,其他好比光驱、刻录机、MO、打印机……的速度,都远不及SCSI卡的传输速度。而硬盘机虽然比较快,但是比起接口卡的传输速度来说,却还是有一段差距,所以我们只能以本期所测试出传输速率最快的Quantum Atlas 10K这一款硬盘驱动器,来作为测试的基准。虽然如此并无法测试出每一张SCSI卡的“极限”,但是在使用同一个硬盘的环境下测试,所得到的数据还是有所差异。测试平台硬件介绍这次我们测试SCSI卡所用的平台为Intel Celeron 366(Slot 1)微处理器、华硕P2B-F主机板,并将主机板上的BIOS并更新至最新的1009B版,且插上64MB SDRAM。显示接口是
