加拿大的马克思主义学者埃伦·伍德认为,历史上曾经出现过的所有类型的殖民主义的经济与军事扩张都是以弱肉强食的丛林法则为基础,当代以资本剥夺逻辑为信仰的新帝国主义仍然延续着这种丛林法则。当代新帝国主义的丛林法则呈现出貌似正义实则侵略的悖论特征。伍德关于新帝国主义新丛林法则悖论的揭示,有助于我们正确认识当前世界发达国家对外经济与军事扩展的霸权主义本质,也警示我们在全球化的进程中,必须坚守和平崛起的中国立场,反对各种形式的霸权主义,为实现人类和平与发展的美好愿景而努力。
