This article analyzes the status quo of college English teaching evaluation in vocational colleges nowadays and points out the disadvantages brought by the final evaluation which is currently used. It emphasizes that formative evaluation is an effective evaluation method of college English teaching and its application in higher vocational education The Necessity of Applying in Colleges and Universities.
