外语教学的最终目的是培养外语学习者的跨文化交际能力,跨文化交际的前提是既要了解目的语文化,更要了解本民族的文化。但是当前中国外语教学中母语文化严重被忽视了,跨文化交际成了单向的交流。针对外语教学中母语文化缺失的现象,笔者对某高校英语专业学生的母语文化现状进行了问卷调查,并从课程设置、教师及学生等角度提出了可行性建议。
The ultimate goal of foreign language teaching is to cultivate foreign language learners’ intercultural communicative competence. The prerequisite of intercultural communication is to understand not only the target language culture but also the culture of this nation. However, at present, the mother tongue culture in Chinese foreign language teaching has been seriously neglected, and cross-cultural communication has become one-way communication. Aiming at the phenomenon of the lack of native culture in foreign language teaching, the author conducted a questionnaire survey on the current situation of the native English culture of English majors in colleges and universities, and put forward feasible suggestions from the aspects of curriculum arrangement, teachers and students.
