改革开放的大潮使北京这个现代而又古老的都市成了淘金者的宝地,同时也成了寻梦者的乐园。在世纪末紧锣密鼓逼人的生活节奏中,跑道上的人们好像渐渐忘却了八、九十年代之交时的那种迷惘和浮躁,为了活,人们变得更为务实和理性。 但有这样一个到京城来寻天堂的特殊群落,似乎已偏离了这一轨道;他们或是千里迢迢只身来京,或是家在北京而另辟居所,不为做生意不为打工更不为探亲旅游;他们采取的是一种抛家舍业的生活方式和遗世独立的生活态度,踌躇满志地把自己的身心供奉给人类的音乐、绘画或文学艺术,而他们生活条件却只是最低限的生存。他们是真正为艺术而高呼“一无所有”的新人类。他们绝大多数人除了随身行李、乐器或画具或稿纸便一无所有。他们在这个时时充满诱惑处处铺满金钱的大都市一隅游心于物外,成为十足的物质贫民,精神贵族。或许是“有朝一日的成功”在时时诱惑着他们,亦或是应了弗洛伊德的那句哲言:艺术家是介乎常人与精神病患者之间的一种人,他们沉迷于追求艺术过程中的快乐而无以自拔?
The tide of reform and opening up has made Beijing, a modern and ancient city, a treasure trove of gold diggers and a paradise for dreamers. At the tumultuous pace of life at the end of the century, people on the runways seem to have gradually forgotten the confusion and impetuosity of the eighties and the nineties, and to make life more pragmatic and rational. They are the new humans who truly shout “nothing” for art. Most of them, except their carry-on luggage, have nothing at all with musical instruments or painting or writing papers. In this momentous metropolis full of temptations and lurches, they wander around and become full of material poverty and spiritual nobility. Perhaps the “one day success” tempted them from time to time, or the Freudian philosophical phrase: The artist is a type of person between ordinary and mentally ill people who is addicted to the pursuit of art Happy and unpredictable?
