Throughout the world, cultures welcome the change of the calendar with unique New Year's traditions of their own. Here are some of our fa-vorite New Year's traditions around the world.rnAustraliarnSydney Harbour hosts one of the biggest New Year's Eve celebrations in the world. It's mid-summer in the southern hemisphere, and thousands of people gather around the Opera House in anticipation. An aerial show and a wa-ter display kick off the celebration at 6:00pm. A family-friendly fireworks show starts at 9:00pm, while the main attraction—the Harbour Light Parade is at midnight.
