《阅微草堂笔记》中的女孝是临变之孝,她们常常牺牲了自己的幸福乃至生命尽孝道,以其贞孝、节孝、烈孝侍奉父母公婆,表现出孝妇、孝女的悲惨命运。女性能够舍弃自己的利益乃至生命而尽孝,是一种利他行为,是自我牺牲,其道德意义是不容否认的。但女孝在封建时代的伦理道德弊端也明显地表现出来,道德同质与异质的冲突难以调和。
