滇东南地区锡石硫化物矿床的形成均与燕山期花岗岩有关。锡石硫化物矿床及其有关的花岗岩体,在空间分布上具有明显的等间距性。有关的矿田均处于纬向22°40′—24°40′的构造带及其与经向构造带的复合部位。已评价和探明的大、中型锡石硫化物矿床,均赋存于大花岗岩体外围之小花岗岩体及隐伏花岗岩体接触带附近碳酸盐岩或碳酸盐岩与泥质岩互层的围岩中。这些矿床均具有明显的垂直分带及水平分带现象。地表以脉状为主的矿体,其探明的储最较少;而在小花岗岩体、隐伏花岗岩体附近的隐伏似层状矿体,所探明的储量为前者的数倍乃至数十倍。大花岗岩体外围地表蚀变带及铅锌矿脉状矿体的存在,是予测和寻找深部隐伏似层状锡石硫化物矿床的重要标志。本文指出,围绕几个大花岗岩体周围的小花岗岩体去找锡石硫化物矿床仍具有广阔的前景;同时在其周围根据蚀变特点及地表矿化标志,运用矿床垂直及水平分带规律进行隐伏花岗岩体和隐伏矿体的予测,是开展深部找矿工作的有效途径。
