To investigate the relationship between the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and mitotic activity in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma, the relationship between VEGF expression and mitotic activity and FIGO staging in serous ovarian tumors was analyzed by immunohistochemistry. Ten cases of serous cystadenoma and 45 cases of serous adenocarcinoma were immunostained with VEGF polyclonal antibody. The staining positive rate was (0) negative, (+) weak positive, (++) strong positive.
