莱姆病于1981年在美国莱姆(Lyme)镇被首次调查证实,是由伯氏巯螺旋体(Borrelia burgdorferi)经硬蜱传播的一种自然疫源性疾病。1986年艾承绪和张哲夫等在我国东北林区发现有本病的存在,并从病人和全沟蜱中分离到了病原体。 Lyme disease was first investigated in Lyme, the United States, in 1981 and was confirmed as a natural foci of disease transmitted by ticks by Borrelia burgdorferi.
