Nepal, a small country located to the south of the Himalayas, announced the establishment of the Federal Democratic Republic on 28 May 2008, ending up to 240 years of monarchy and prolonged civil strife, opening a completely new chapter in the history of this small country. Nepal is the youngest republic on Earth and one of the oldest in Asia. Nepalese people settled in the Kathmandu Valley in the 6th century BC. Now this birthplace of Nepalese civilization still retains three ancient cities not far apart - Kathmandu (now the capital), Patan and Bhadgaon, in 1768 Priestvi Narayan Shah (Prithvi Narayan Shah) before the reunification of Nepal, are once prominent moment of the capital city.
