对18个陆地棉品种(系)的子指、子叶面积与棉纤维品质指标的相关性分析结果表明:子指和子叶面积与纤维长度、强度、细度、断裂长度、成熟度的相关趋势相一致,子指与纤维长度呈极显著正相关,与成熟度呈正相关,而与强度呈显著负相关;子叶面积与纤维长度呈极显著正相关,与成熟度呈显著正相关,与强度呈显著负相关。初步认为子叶面积和子指可作为棉花育种中纤维品质的间接选择性状和指标。
