大米草是一种多年生禾本科的湿生植物,具有耐盐、耐淹,适应性广,根系发达,无性繁殖能力强的特点,是改造海滩的先锋植物。现将海滩种植大米草,对促淤保滩、迅速提高海滩土壤肥力,利用大米草滩栽培芦苇的试验调查结果分述如下: 一、大米草的促淤保滩效果 大米草在海滩中潮带种植,生长繁殖速度快,并能起到滞流消浪作用,达到促淤保滩的效果。 1.促淤增高滩面 大米草促淤效果与潮水有密切关系。1978年5月在射阳县双洋港离海堤外100米处,高程为-0.42米的海滩上,栽了密度为1×1米,长1000米、宽50米呈南北向的大米草带,到1979年秋已长成连片的草滩,1980年12月15日测定,在草带靠海堤的一侧滩面高程为0.08米,淤积成15米宽、50厘米高垄起的滩
