剪纸作为中国一种传统的艺术形态,在民间有着悠久的历史,素有“民间艺术之母”之称。陕西民间剪纸作为中国西北剪纸的代表之一,不仅具有丰富多样的形式和地域特点,更因其在风格上保留着淳朴、庄重、简练、生动、色彩艳丽的艺术特点,而令人叹服。通过对陕西剪纸的艺术特点的研究,在总结其文化特色的基础上,将剪纸这一古老的民间艺术与现代的服装设计相结合,运用服装设计中的形式美法则进行构思和创造,意在探索民族本元文化与现代服装设计创意之间的关系,开拓民族、民间、传统的设计风格。近几年来,随着我国改革开放事业的不断加快,服装的开发与设计越来越国际化,与剪纸一样,传统的服饰逐渐退出我们日常生活范围,成为一种“过去式”的东西。我们在钟情于外来的文化之中的同时却逐渐忽略了我们本民族的古老传统,古老的汉服,旗袍,刺绣等等。虽然有不少人在力图保护民族的文化,但是逐渐被消磨的历史仍然在不断发生。我们需要通过某些手法将其更加有力的保护本民族文化,并将之发扬,重新试世人认识到民族文化的魅力。

Although many people are trying hard to protect the national culture, the history of gradually being eliminated is still happening constantly. We need some means to be more powerful to protect its own culture, and to carry forward, re-test the world to recognize the charm of national culture.
