本刊讯为推动我市文学繁荣发展,由中共大连市委宣传部主办、《海燕》文学月刊社承办、市新华书店协办的“大连作家森林·每月笔会”经过精心酝酿,第一期每月笔会活动于8月25日在新华书店作家森林正式鸣锣开张了。活动当天,作家、评论家、文学爱好者以及媒体记者等近百人齐聚一堂,共飨文化盛宴。活动伊始,中共大连市委宣传部副部长张金双代表活动主办方介绍了每月笔会活动的缘起
