为了培育出适宜北疆栽培的早熟、丰产棉花品种,我院作物栽培教研组于1955年从苏联引进的С—3173、1306ДВ、611—Б、С—3210、108—Ф、910—И、10964、5476—И和黄河下游棉区的S_(5A)、S_(2B)等十个品种中,进行了杂交育种工作。先后在乌鲁木齐老满城试验场、铁门关农二师六团农场进行了杂交后代的选留、短日照处理和回交与自交等工作。1957年,选留了四个组合,即10964×611В、S_(5A)×611В、611—В×(S_(5A)+S_(2B)、C—3210×108Ф共九个选系。1958年将上年四个杂交组合第三代的种子保留一部分,其余全部各组合的单株则分别
