我省是我国北方的重要产竹区,竹林资源比较丰富。经济价值较高的有刚竹、金竹(淡竹)、水竹、巴山木竹、龙头竹、箭竹等,面积达100余万亩,秆重(鲜重,下同)达300余万吨。其中巴山木竹占比重最大,约50万亩、200万吨(镇巴占24万亩、123万n屯),占全省总面积的40.0％,总蓄积的61.5％;其次为龙头竹、箭竹、水竹(野生),总共约20万亩、20万吨;刚竹、金竹、水竹等(栽培种)约6～7万亩、30万吨;毛竹、慈竹在汉中、安康等局部地区有少量引种栽培。此外,在秦巴山区还有密集成片分布的箬竹林10万亩。六十年代前,全省刚竹、金竹年产3万吨以上,收购1.5万
