上海财经大学会计学系是该校创建初期成立较早的系科之一。1953年,高等院校院系调整时,华东地区多所高校的会计系并入后,该系的师资力量、教学科研工作一度达到较高的水平,为国家培养了大批会计人才。1958年,上海财经学院与上海政法学院合并成立上海社会科学院,该系也一起并入,同时停止招生。1960年,重新建立上海财经学院,但时隔不久,出现十年动乱,该校又于1972年被迫下马,直至粉碎“四人帮”后,1978年下半年复校,才重新恢复会计学系。建国后历任的系主任有:许本怡、薛迪符、杨荫溥、龚清洁、娄尔行。现在,娄尔行教授为名誉系主任,现任系主任是石成岳教授,副主任为周勤业、林卉怡。自1978年复校以来,该系全体教职员工在近八年时间内,完成了大量的教学和科研任务,出版了一些新编教材和工具书,开拓了许多科研新领域,从而在国内享 Shanghai University of Finance and accounting department is the early establishment of the school to set up one of the earlier department.
