快堆燃料包壳管的使用条件极为苛刻。管内是高温核燃料并承受100个大气压的内压;管外是600℃以上的液态金属钠;整报管子受到通量为10~(14)~10~(15)nv的中子辐照。在这样严酷工况下,必须要求材料具有良好的耐蚀性及在热冲击、热循环和温差所引起的热应力条件下具有良好的耐久性。因此建造快堆的各国均用不少精力投于包壳管的研制及其各种试验上。基于这些研究,目前国外以15~20%冷变形量的316不锈钢管,作为快堆燃料包壳管,同时决定了包壳管的严格规范。
Fast reactor fuel cladding conditions are extremely demanding. The tube is a high-temperature nuclear fuel and withstands 100 atmospheres of internal pressure; the tube is liquid sodium metal above 600 ° C; the tube is exposed to neutrons with fluxes of 10-14 (10-15) nv. Under such severe conditions, the material must have good corrosion resistance and good durability under thermal stress caused by thermal shock, thermal cycling and temperature differences. Therefore, all countries building fast reactors have devoted much effort to the development of cladding tubes and their various tests. Based on these researches, at present, 316 stainless steel tubes with cold deformation of 15-20% are used as cladding tubes for fast reactor fuel and the strict specifications of cladding tubes are also determined.
